London Development Agency

Client:

London Development Agency (LDA)

Requirement:

Having previously worked on a successful Microsoft SharePoint implementation project, OrderWork were asked by the LDA to come back in to work on a .NET development project. The scope of this project was to develop an application that would replace an existing manual process for collecting and reporting on delivery partner data in respect to the European Social Fund.

Approach:

Our dedicated account management and service delivery team worked with the LDA to understand their requirements. Using our network of service partners, we were able to then select those with the relevant skills and experience to offer the LDA three solutions to choose from. The LDA were able to review each solution and meet the respective service partners before making their choice, all of which coordinated by OrderWork. During the implementation and delivery phases of the project, we ensured that the LDA requirements were always being met through effective client/service partner management.

Outcome:

Using our flexible resourcing model, the LDA were able to deal with one partner but still meet their own internal purchasing requirement of obtaining three quotations. The development team put in place were all accredited with the relevant Microsoft certifications, and were local to the LDA’s place of business, ensuring costs were low but quality high.

Software Development House

Client:

A Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and software development house that is also a registered OrderWork Service Partner.

Requirement:

Our client was bidding on a contract to build a set of tools to integrate their customer’s front office systems with a set of 3rd party software components, and a web based platform. Our client needed to build these tools within 6 weeks to meet their customer’s launch schedule. In order to meet their customer’s deadline, our client needed to augment their existing project team with additional short term resources with skills in Microsoft’s .NET architecture (C#, XML, and ASP.NET).

Approach:

Using our network of service partners, we were able to source the required number of developers with the right complement of middleware skills. We managed the resourcing process for our client, from pre-vetting potential candidates, to managing their on-site issues, through to candidate payment.

Outcome:

Our client won the project; one they would normally not have bid for due to not having the required full time resources. Upon successful completion of the project, they won an extension to the work they carried out for their customer and thus extended the use of our supplied contractors.
